Our best-selling and most popular profile ever, which is easy to understand due to the charisma it introduces to room styling, often appearing on TV makeover shows that we have featured on. This profile has the added benefit of fitting ‘over’ any existing standard 100mm (4″) or 127mm (5″) concave coving, so there is no need to remove old coving if that is what is currently in place. This profile is also available in flexible material for curved walls or bay windows etc (min. wall radius 360 cm – please call for further details)
For a larger version (14.5cm x 14.5cm) see the CX203 ‘Charismatic’. Or a smaller variant (8cm x 8cm) is the CX199 ‘Allure’
If you aren’t confident in cutting the corner sections at 45°, we also have pre-cut corner pieces already done for you to help make installation a breeze. Full coving installation details on this link.
As per all our products, this is supplied pre-primed with a quality undercoat ready for the paint finish of your choice. Along with CX107, this is the largest profile in our Coving range (go to our Cornice page if you require larger profiles). Match it with an R09 or R40 ceiling centre, SX118 skirting board, and PX120 dado rail.
Please ensure installation is done using the correct adhesives for a perfect result – see the More Info panel within product details.
Using the Correct Jointing and Mounting Adhesives for the CX106 ‘Charisma’ coving- IMPORTANT!
Use Decofix Ultra FX400 – when joining two sections together (either corners or on a straight run). This is a high-strength ‘superglue’ that welds the pieces together and guarantees against separation cracks appearing in future years.
For mounting the coving, we strongly recommend using MS-Polymer Decofix Power FDP700 (dries white and paintable) – especially if any wall or ceiling mounting point has been plastered/skimmed within the last 3 months, or the ambient temperature when fixing is less than 10 degrees Celcius.
For any sections that require filling, we recommend FL300 DecoFiller
